Treatments & prescriptions

How does my provider decide whether a treatment is right for me?

Every prescription follows an individual review of your history, goals, and safety factors.

These answers describe how telehealth care generally works. Your provider will confirm anything that applies specifically to you.

An individual review

Your provider reviews your health history, current medicines, relevant lab results when needed, and your goals before discussing any prescription. A treatment that is appropriate for one woman may not be appropriate for another.

A product listing on this site is education, not a recommendation. It does not mean the treatment is suitable for you or that you qualify for a prescription.

What you should receive

If a treatment is appropriate, your provider should explain the exact medicine name, its approval status for your use, expected benefits, common side effects, important warnings, and how your response will be monitored.

Ask questions until the plan is clear to you. You can always ask why an option was chosen, what the alternatives are, and what happens if you want to stop.
