Getting started
How should I prepare for my consultation?
A few simple preparations that make a telehealth visit more useful, without sharing anything you are not ready to share.
These answers describe how telehealth care generally works. Your provider will confirm anything that applies specifically to you.
Write it down
Note the concerns you want to discuss, when they started, and what you have already tried. Written notes are easier to remember than details in the moment.
You do not need medical vocabulary. Describing what feels different and what you would like help with is enough to start the conversation.
Gather your basics
Have a list of medicines and supplements, any allergies, relevant medical history, and recent test results if you have them. Mention pregnancy, breastfeeding, or pregnancy plans when relevant.
Find a private space with a steady connection, and check your camera and microphone ahead of time. Do not stop any medicine or arrange new testing unless your clinician has instructed you to.
